Our name, 心与手, brings together the two foundations of our brand: the care behind thoughtful craftsmanship and the skill that gives an idea its form.
We specialise in Chinese natural lacquerware, known as daqi, offering finished pieces and bespoke commissions made in collaboration with lacquer artisans. Through everyday objects and decorative pieces, we bring the colour, texture, and quiet lustre of lacquer into contemporary life.
Lacquer rewards patience. Preparing a surface, applying coatings, developing a design, and allowing time for curing each call for attention and judgement. Flowing textures, subtle variations, and delicate gold-leaf accents give the finished pieces details that invite a closer look.
